The purpose of the Covid In Memorial website is to give a voice to each person who has been affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic and to visually show the wide reach and all of the impacts of this disease. We hope to honor and celebrate the lives of all who have been affected by Covid.
Go to the Share Your Story page. If this is the first story you are sharing on this site, you will need to click the Register button to create an account on the site. This information is only used on this site to allow you to come back and edit your story, if needed.
After you have created an account, you will be logged in and directed back to the Share Your Story page where you can fill out the form to share your own story or the story of a loved one who has been affected by COVID-19.
An image is not required to submit a story, but it is highly recommended so we can show who the people are behind the stories.
We recommend that your image size is at least 800 px × 800 px, but not larger than 1,500 px × 1,500 px. We allow gif, jpeg, jpg and png image types.
All stories that have been submitted are included on the Stories page. Use the search box that’s located on the top right above the images to search for your story.
You can also view all of the Stories you have submitted by going to the My Stories page.
You will first need to log in to your account that you created when you originally submitted your story by going to the Log In page. After you are logged in, hover your mouse over the “Stories” section in the menu bar and then click on “My Stories”. On that page you will see any stories you have previously submitted and an option for editing them as well.
The stories collected are only being shared on this website (on the Stories page) for anyone who visits the website to read, remember, celebrate, and honor the people whose stories have been told.
Your name and email address are collected so you may login to create and edit your story.
Donating directly to the Covid In Memorial website on the Support page provides funds for the continued technological maintenance and upkeep of this website, so we can continue to share the stories of those who have been affected by COVID-19 and celebrate and honor their lives. The site has no paid staff. A financial summary will be posted quarterly. All remaining funds will be donated to non-profit organizations helping in the relief of COVID-19.
Please visit our Contact page and let us know what the issues are and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Organizations that are helping in the relief efforts for COVID-19 who are interested in becoming a Partner Cause (as listed on the Support page) will be asked to promote the Covid In Memorial website to their networks (on their own website, social media pages or groups), specifically asking people in their networks to come to the site and share their stories on the site.
Partner Causes will be listed on the Covid In Memorial Support page with a brief description of their organization and a link to their website.
Either party can request that their links be removed from the other organization’s website at any time with a 72 hour notice via email.
If your organization is interested in becoming a Covid In Memorial Partner Cause, please contact us.
If you have Stories you wish to connect with each other, for example two or more family members, it's very easy to do. Simply copy the address of the story you want to link, and paste it into the body of your Story. It will automatically link to the other story as long as the address is alone as a single line.
For example:
My brother:
https://covidinmemorial.com/story-post/john-doe/
Below will not work because the address is not on a line by itself...
My brother: https://covidinmemorial.com/story-post/john-doe/
If your video is hosted with one of the major video hosting providers (YouTube, Vimeo, et cetera), all you need to do is copy the URL (address) of the video and paste it into the body of your Story. The address must be on a line by itself.
For example, this will work and will automatically embed your video into the Story:
https://youtu.be/l4bDVq-nP-0
This will not work because the address is not on a line by itself:
My video: https://youtu.be/l4bDVq-nP-0
